Joining together to focus on student safety and to enhance communication between home and school, we are proud to introduce our newest initiative. In order to provide an up-to-date technology based method to communicate, we will be partnering with SchoolCast to provide a Rapid Notification System. This computer generated phone message will be used to notify parents of school closings, late school openings, early departure times in the event of severe weather, and other information that would need to be disseminated rapidly. Each student has been assigned a User Name and Initial Password in order for parents to access the SchoolCast rapid notification system. Parents should access their child's account and update the contact information as soon as possible and keep that information current whenever there are changes in phone number, change of email address etc. Please understand that primary and secondary numbers will be used should such notification be necessary. All numbers that are listed on the notification will be called until an answer or a voice mail is received. If parents would like to be notified by email, please include that address on the Dashboard. To access the SchoolCast account for your child, please go to the following secure web-site: https://www.myschoolcast.com/. Use the following information to access the account: User Name: (refer to letter mailed to home for student's user name) Password: (refer to letter mailed to home for student's password) Parents may change user name and password at this time, as well as edit the phone numbers listed. In the event that a notification phone number that is supplied is for an employer that has multiple employees ( i.e. General Electric) parents will need to enter a personal cell number, as the system will only call that general number one time for one child and you may not receive notification.
